Valor Christian v Falcon
Valor Christian came out strong and led 9-4 early, only to see Falcon respond and take a 16-13 lead. Eventually Valor led 28-24 and the wheels came off for Falcon. Valor got hot and Falcon got cold at the same time and Valor ended up cruising to a fairly easy 75-42 win.
Valor Christian was pretty balanced in the game. They had 11 players score and their standouts each took turns in the spotlight. Junior Chase Foster was typically tough and finished with 15 points and about 8 rebounds. Fellow junior Brandon Pleiman had some nice moments, especially in the first half. Junior Marcus Wilson hit a few consecutive shots in the third quarter. Valor has a great chance to win a title this year and are as good as any team in 4A.
Falcon hung tough early but in the end the end they just didn’t have enough. Sophomore Shaun LiVicchi was probably the best player last night and finished with about 15 points and 10 rebounds. Junior Chances Matlock was solid and had a balanced game. Senior Brody Hicks finished his career with a solid game as well.
