Las Vegas Wrap Up

While other cities like Louisville and Kansas City hosted club basketball tournaments this past weekend, the epicenter of the club basketball world was Las Vegas, Nevada. There was over 700 teams from across the nation playing in four different tournaments: The Adidas 64, Fab 48, the Las Vegas Classic and The Vegas Finals. All of these tournaments hosted Colorado teams and Basketball Colorado was able to get to three of the tournaments and take in games of 13 different teams.

The Force Elite 17 – Las Vegas Classic

Most of the Colorado teams were done with there respective tournaments by Saturday but three advanced to championship Sunday, the Colorado Miners Elite 17 , Colorado Titans 16 Gold, and B&B Basketball Academy Blue.  The Miners advanced to the semis of the Fab48 17 Diamond Bracket while the Titans Gold advanced to the quarterfinals of the 16 Platinum Bracket at the Las Vegas Classic.  B&B Academy Blue finished the Las Vegas Classic with the 17 Bronze Bracket championship.

Didn’t get to see it (he had 19 the game I saw) but Thomas Neff (Colorado Miners Elite 17) had a 26 point game and a game winning 30 footer to push the Miners into the semi’s of the Diamond Bracket of the Fab48.
