Eye Catchers – Prephoops Colorado Prime Time Prospects Combine
The Prephoops Colorado Prime Time Prospects Combine was held yesterday at the Gold Crown facility in Lakewood. 75 players grades 9-12 took part in combine drills, stations and finished up the combine taking part in full court games. While a number of the more “high profile” players did not attend the combine, a number of players took advantage of the opportunity.
2016 Tyrone Clark Jr. 5’11 G – Liberty – very athletic guard that can get up!
2016 Jordan Cothran 6’0 G -Rock Mountain Lutheran – strong guard that can run the show or play off the ball.
2016 Brett Harmon 6’4 F – Arapahoe – The forward showed he is getting more comfortable on the wing.
2019 Kyle Helbig 6’3 W – Holy Family – Helbig is big for a freshman and was very comfortable on the wing, showed potential to be very good.
2017 Nick Holmes 6’2 G – Overland – One of the brighter stars of the day. Controlled the ball and was an adept scorer.
2016 Kris Hollins 6’3 G – Rangeview – Hollins had a couple of highlight dunks, on win traffic and another on a break away. He was easily one of the most athletic players at the combine.
2017 Oscar Maldonado 6’3 G – Northridge – Athletic guard showed ability to score. Has the right kind of build to be a good defender.
2016 Connor McCord 6’7 F – Legend – Best big at the combine. Was excellent on the boards and showed nice moves on the post.
2016 Joshua Mohammed 6’0 G – James Irwin – Easy to see why Mohammed led his team in scoring last year in the tough 3A Tri-Peaks league.
2017 D’shawn Schwartz 6’6 W – Sand Creek – Schwartz showed an improved 3 point consistency. He will have a big step up in competition next weekend at the Team USA tryouts next weekend in Colorado
2017 Colin Rardin 6’3 G – Rock Canyon – Rardin was a jack of all trades did a number of things well.
2017 Austin Remus 6’2 G – Valor – Remus had an excellent day of shooting the ball. He is going to have a great year with Coach Pachner.
2017 Corey Seng 6’4 G – ThunderRidge – Seng continues to attack the basket and finish well, adding to his game.
2016 Patrick Vasquez 6’1 G – Fort Lupton – Vasquez did a good job picking his spots and setting others up. Solid on defense.
2016 Will Wittman 6’3 W – Arvada West – As I has tweeted out earlier in the day Wittman was usually guarding the best player on the floor and doing a good job. Wittman also shined on the offensive end as well as rebounding.
