Colorado Titans Vegas Wrap Up
The Colorado Titans competed in two tournaments in Las Vegas last week: Las Vegas FAB 48 (three teams) and the Las Vegas Classic (five teams). It made for some interesting challenges to get teams to games but the Titans managed it all very well.
Titans 17’s
FAB 48
Playing in the Platinum Division the Titans finished 3rd in pool play and lost in the first game of the Bronze Championship Bracket.
Vegas Classic
17’s Black – Fourth in pool play and lost in the first round of the Bronze Championship Bracket.
17’s Gold – Finished second in pool play and advanced to the Gold bracket losing the first game to YBA. 6’4 Luke Golter had 27 points in the loss to YBA.
Titans 16’s
In general the Titans had a very good week with most pool play games being blow outs. 6’4 Justinian Jessup (Longmont) had a break out Spring / Summer Circuit and 6’3 Chris Helbig (Holy Family) and 6’9 Frank Ryder (IMG) made their presence felt as well.
FAB 48
Finished first in pool play in the Platinum Division advancing to the Championship Bracket. The Titans won their first game but then had to forfeit the second game due to conflict with the game at the Las Vegas Classic.
Vegas Classic
16’s Black – Finished 3rd in pool play then advanced the the quarterfinals of the Silver Championship Bracket.
16’s Gold – First in pool play and moved on to the Platinum Championship Bracket. In Bracket play the Titans advanced to the quarterfinals and fell to Team Texas by three points.
Titans 15’s
FAB 48
Competed in the Diamond Division and finished second in pool play but lost in the first round of the Championship Bracket
Vegas Classic
Second in pool play then lost in the first round of the Gold Championship Bracket.
