The Colorado Chaos Basketball Club travled to the Fab 48 in Las Vegas last week in the final live recruiting event of the Summer. Chaos 17 Elite was the only team from Colorado to compete in the top Invitational Division of the Fab 48. The Chaos had a total of seven teams competing in the tournament: four 17 teams, two 16 teams and one 15’s team.
Colorado Chaos 17’s Elite – went 0-3 in pool play with close loses to Wisconsin United and Gamepoint 17 Black. They also lost their only bracket play game by single digits to Nike Team Louisiana. 5’9 guard Michael Sparks (Lincoln) had a very good game versus Wisconsin United scoring 20 points in the second half. 5’9 guard Brian Carey (Denver East)had a solid tournament limiting turnovers, getting to the lane and converting at the basket. 6’10 Zach Pirog (ThunderRidge) had a good overall tournament playing against guys his size and walked away with two more D-1 offers. Carey, Sparks and Chase Coon (Chaparral) finished their careers in Chaos’ 1,000 point club.
Chaos 2015 – 2015’s finished 2nd in pool play but lots in the first round of Championship Bracket play in the Diamond Division. Elijah Ross pulled double duty at times with the Elite 17’s and was his normal strong self.

Chaos 17 Blue – Finished first in pool play then lost in the first round of the Championship Bracket in the Gold Division.
