Billups Elite Vegas Wrap Up
The Chauncey Billups Elite Basketball Academy had five teams participate in the Las Vegas FAB 48 last weekend.
Billups Elite 17 – Finished fourth in pool play in the Diamond Division and then won their last game in the Consolation bracket. 6’7 Forwards Ryan Swan (Overland) and Ryan Quaid (Fossil Ridge) both received offers from Youngstown State following the FAB 48.
Billups Elite 16 – Competing the in Invitational Division for 16U Billups finished first in pool play in very convincing fashion. Billups then got a come from behind victory over Colorado club rival Chaos in the first round of Championship Bracket play when wing Derron Harrell (Denver East) sank a basket at the buzzer. Billups got another win to advance to the quarterfinals where they were defeated by Atlanta Express.
Billups Select 16 – The Select 16’s finish fourth in pool play while in the Diamond Division of the 16U tournament. They then won their consolation game of BTI All Stars by 23 points.
Billups Elite 15 – The 15 finished 2nd in pool play in the Invitational Division and then lost their first round game of the Championship Bracket
Billups Select 15 – Select 15’s finished third in pool play and then lost in the first around of the Diamond Championship Bracket to the eventual bracket champions Classics Storm.
