BasketballColorado 5A Top10 – Week of December 17

The 2017 portion of the high school basketball season is coming to a close this week. A number of teams are taking advantage of the early Christmas break and heading to play in out of state tournaments. That doesn’t mean that there won’t be quality games this week in state.

# 1 Rock Canyon (9-0)

Rock Canyon had an exciting week after getting some national ranking attention. The Jags won the Clash on the Clash on the coast. Masten and Co don’t play again until 2018.

#2 Smoky Hill (4-2)

Took care of GW this week and have Rocky Mountain, Rangeview, and Vista Peak this week.

#3 Denver East (6-0)

Tark classic this week for the Angels.

#4 Chaparral (6-0)

The Wolverines got tested against Eaglecrest but won in the final seconds. Chaparral travels to the Tark Classic this week.

#5 Regis Jesuit (6-1)

The Raiders cruised to wins last week. Regis ends the year with Grand Junction and Hinkley.

#6 ThunderRidge (9-1)

ThunderRidge held off Overland last week  and this week will host Cherokee Trail.

#7   Grandview (4-0)

The Wolves got a tough win at Rampart and will have their hands full in Vegas at the Tark Classic.

#8 George Washington (5-2)

GW lost to #2 Smoky and will get tested at the Tark Classic with Chino Hills up first.

# 9  Rampart (5-2)

Closed out 2017 with a loss to Grandview.

# 10   Doherty (5-2)

Lost last week to Dakota Ridge but have Vista Ridge this week.
