Basketball Colorado’s 4A Top 10 – Week of 1/11/2015

The first 4A rankings of 2015 prove that there are many teams worthy of being in the Top 10 and it is basically splitting hairs after the top two teams.

10. Palmer Ridge (7-1) Lost to Falcon last Friday, the Bears have a big three game week host 1/14 Air Academy,  at 1/16 Discovery Canyon, 1/17 host #4 Sand Creek.

9. Mead (8-2) 2-0 since break, take on Erie on 1/13 and #5 Holy Family on 1/16.

8. Falcon (7-4) The Falcons have been world beaters since the break defeating two of 4A top 10. Falcons face tough Lewis Palmer on 1/14 and #4 Sand Creek on 1/16.

7. D’Evelyn (6-4) have won three games in row since Christmas including wins over Thomas Jefferson and Wheat Ridge. Play #2 Golden on Wednesday and Standley Lake 1/16.

6. Pueblo West (10-3) P. West can put up points with the best of them. Play at Pueblo East 1/13.

5. Holy Family (7-2) Defeated Machbuef, play at Skyline 1/13 and then host #9 Mead 1/16.

4. Sand Creek (7-3) After a loss to 5A Warriors the Scorpions have beaten Lewis Palmer and Air Academy. Host  Discovery Canyon on 1/14 and #8 Falcon on 1/16 then travel to #10 Palmer Ridge.  Oh and Jordan Phillips should be eligible this week.

3. Pueblo South (8-3) The Colts are off this week have a big game with Pueblo Central on 1/20.

2. Golden (8-2) Demons went to Valor and got a big road victory. Demons are undefeated in the state and host arch arrival D’Evelyn on Wednesday 1/14, then play Littleton 1/16.

1. Longmont (9-0) The Trojans are the lone undefeated team in 4A. Three game week lays ahead of them with a tough as nails Niwot team on 1/13, Mountain View on 1/15 and #4 in 5A the Warriors come to visit on 1/17.
