Basketball Colorado 5A Top10 Week of January 7, 2018
The first week of 2018 saw a couple big games and they didn’t disappoint. Expect the unexpected in Jeffco 5A this year and it’s going to be a heated race in the Centennial and Continental League night in and night out. With East and Smoky Hill losing last week there is a shake up in the top 5.
1. Rock Canyon (11-0)
Jaguars remain the only unbeaten team in 5A.
2. Grandview (10-1)
Big win over Smoky now can they handle giant killer Cherokee Trail.
3. Chaparral (10-2)
The Wolverines look like the real deal against East.
4. Regis Jesuit (10-1)
Raiders handled their business last week. Bigger week this week though.
5. ThunderRidge (12-1)
ThunderRidge defeated GW and have Regis on Friday.
6. Denver East (9-2)
Lost to Chaparral on Saturday.
7. Doherty (9-2)
Spartans keep doing what they do.
8. Mountain Vista (8-3)
The Golden eagles had to go to OT to beat Fountain-Ft.Carson. #3 Chaparral is waiting on Friday.
9 . Smoky Hill (7-4)
Smoky Hill lost to Grandview and Cherokee Trail last week.
10. George Washington (7-4)
The Patriots lost to the Grizzlies last week and have a tough week this week too.
