Basketball Colorado 5A Top10 – Week of January 28, 2018

The action in 5A is heating up and will soon be to a boiling point as teams compete for their respective league titles.  While leagues like the EMAC, DPL and Centennial seem to have a clear leaders, the other 5A leagues are not so clear.  Last weeks top four teams went undefeated

1. Rock Canyon (17-0)

Rock Canyon has to be careful to not overlook Douglas County at home on Tuesday before  a big  match up at #5 Chaparral on Friday.

2.  ThunderRidge (16-1)

The Grizzlies are in the thick of the Continental League race. This week they face Heritage and Highlands Ranch.

3.  George Washington (13-5)

The Patriots face Kennedy this week.

4.  Overland (10-7)

The Trailblazers play Cherry Creek and then take on #10 Smoky Hill at Smoky on Saturday.  That will be a huge game.

5. Chaparral (13-3)

The Wolverines have to wait till Friday to take on #1 Rock Canyon.

6.Denver East (15-2)

East has North and  Lincoln this week.

7. Grandview (13-4)

The Wolves play Arapahoe and Cherokee Trail this week.

8. Regis Jesuit (13-4)

The Raiders host Castle View and Legend this week.

9.  Doherty (14-3)

Coronado and Pine Creek are on the schedule this week for the Spartans.

10. Smokey Hill (11-6)

After taking care of Grandview on Friday the Buffaloes are looking to carry over that momentum against Cherokee Trail and #4 Overland.
