Basketball Colorado 4A Top10 – Week 2

1. Pueblo West (2-0)
Even without senior guard David Simental the Cyclones more than held their own. A very tough Cheyenne Mountain team travels to West this week.
2. Sand Creek (2-0)
The Scorpions will get a tough test this week after a relatively easy week last week. Coronado, Widefield and Pueblo South get their chance against D’shawn Schwarts and company.
3. Valor (0-0)
The Eagles finally get to start their season with 5A #4 Doherty at the ThunderRidge Tipoff Tournament.
4. Vista Peak (3-0)
The Bison won their tournament with a good win against Cheyenne Mountain. The Bison will take on Coronado in the first round of the Ponderosa Tournament.
5. Sierra (1-0)
CJ Jennings scored 29 points his first game out for the Stallions. Will he keep up the scoring output against Denver South at the Fairview Festival this week?
6. Holy Family (2-1)
Holy Family played very well last week at the Golden/D’Evelyn tournament and knocked off Golden in the process. Niwot on Tuesday is the only game for the Tigers this week.
7. Golden (2-1)
Golden had its first loss of the year to Holy Family on Saturday. The Demons now have Fossil Ridge and sharpshooter Braxton Bertolette coming to town on Monday. Golden also faces Longmont and Conifer this week as well.
8. D’Evelyn (3-0)
The Jaguars schedule does not get easier this week starting off with #10 Mead on Tuesday. D’Evelyn then follows with Fort Morgan and Longmont back to back.
9. Silver Creek (2-0)
The Raptors upended Evergreen last weeks #10 in 4A. Silver Creek won’t play again until week three win they face Erie.
10. Mead (2-1)
The Mavericks lost to Golden last week but had solid wins over Pueblo South and Pueblo Central. A big early season game against D’Evelyn on Tuesday is the only game for Mead this week.
