Basketball Colorado 4A Top10 – Week 1
When looking at Class 4A there are four teams that stand above the rest at the moment
10. Evergreen
The Cougars have a future small college basketball player in Michael Dillion. The 6’5 senior forward should be an impact player at the 4A level. The Cougars have a nice mix of players that play well together.
9. D’Evelyn
The Jaguars are a perennial power in the 4A Jeffco league and return a solid core.
8. Mead
Michael Ward and Alex Sandstrom lead an experienced and senior laden team to the Golden/D’Evelyn Preview Classic. How the Longhorns do here can legitimatize their Top10 standing
7. Sierra
The Stallions have senior standout CJ Jennings and a nice nucleus of role players that will get the job done.
6. Vista Peak
The Bison could be the most athletic team across the board in 4A.
5. Holy Family
Holy Family will get tested right away when the Tigers take on #3 Golden on Saturday.
4. Valor
Valor has Basketball Colorado player of the year candidate Jalen Sanders leading the talented Eagles. The 6’5 senior forward can do just about anything he wants to on the floor. A big early season challenge awaits on Dec 7th when the Eagles take on Doherty.
3. Golden
Senior Kayden Sund and junior Adam Thistlewood are one of the best duo’s in 4A. The Demons will be hard to handle this season.
2. Sand Creek
Maybe a little high to start off with but as Sand Creek showed on Saturday they have more than enough talent to compete at a very high level.
1. Pueblo West
The Cyclones aren’t rebuilding this year, just reloading. Basketball Colorado player of the year candidate David Simental leads Pueblo West and their talented bunch.
