The Basketball Colorado All 4A Team had some great moments this year. From 50 point games and break out seasons to leading their team to a state championship these players had great seasons.

chudierChudier Bile 6’6 Sr – Denver South

Bile was one of the most athletic forwards in 4A this year. Led Denver South to the 4A playoffs by owning the boards, finishing with highlight dunks and not afraid to shoot the three pointer either.

 

 

 

 

 

jessup 2Justinian Jessup 6’5 Sr – Longmont

Jessup was Jessup. A dominating facilitator that picked his spots to take over the game. Jessup could have easily averaged more points a game but deferred to his teammates and put them in positions to be successful.

 

 

 

 

 

 

CJ Jennings 6’2 Jr – Sierra 

Jennings came into his own this year at Sierra. Jennings led the Stallions to a 20-5 record  taking on the brunt of the scoring responsibility while also being a lock down defender.

Maleek Johnson 6’2 Sr – Pueblo South 

Johnson was the leading  scorer for one of the best 4A teams this season. Johnson was excellent handling the ball and could score in multiple ways. The Colts led by Johnson beat some of the best teams in 4A this year including eventual state champ Pueblo West.

Walker Korell 6’4 Sr – Mead

Korell earned his way on the All 4A Team by getting his Maverick teammates to their first elite 8 in school history. Korell was a dynamic athlete by knocking down long three pointers or driving baseline for highlight dunks. Korell was also an active rebounder.

hunter Maldonado Hunter Maldonado 6’6 Jr – Vista Ridge

Maldonado had a break out season and showed that he can score with the best of them. Maldonado led the Wolves to their first appearance  in the 4A final four scoring inside and out. There wasn’t much the 6’6 junior couldn’t do.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Michael Ranson 6’2 Sr – Pueblo Central

The top scorer in the state with a staggering 758 points against very stiff competition in one of the toughest leagues in 4A. Ranson was a one man wrecking crew, facing all sorts of various defenses through the season.

jalen sandersJalen Sanders 6’5 Jr – Valor

Sanders commanded a lot of attention this year. He helped his team get to the state finals and was key in the semi-finals helping in the epic 30 point 4th quarter to oust Longmont. Sanders has expanded his game away from the rim and has become a very good outside shooter.

 

 

 

 

 

 

schwartzD’shawn Schwartz 6’7 Jr – Sand Creek 

Schwartz had a very good individual year with big games against many of the best teams in 4A. The lefty showed that he can handle the guard position as well as play in the post. S

 

 

 

 

Jonathan Scott 6’4 Sr – Lewis-Palmer

Scott was a big key to the Rangers success this year. One of the toughest players in the state. He was excellent with the ball in his hands or playing off the ball.

 

4A State Championship 2016David Simental 6’2 Jr – Pueblo West

Simental was the driving force behind the Cyclones run to the state championship. The junior guard was one of the top scorers in 4A and he wasn’t just a threat from three point land. He was able to get to the basket at will or pull up from mid range.

 

 

 sundKayden Sund 6’5 Jr – Golden

Sund had an excellent junior season showing off his vastly improved jump shot and is a legitimate threat from behind the three point line. He helped Golden get to the sweet 16 of the 4A State Tournament with his athleticism and attacking style of play.
