Colorado CHAOS Press Release
The Colorado Chaos Basketball Club is proud to announce Ben Beauchamp (6’4” SG, Monarch HS 2014) has committed to play at Black Hills State University. Beauchamp committed to Black Hills State for a variety of reasons. He felt a strong connection with Yellow Jackets head coach Bradd Schafer and assistant coach Sam Holden. He also loved the atmosphere and town of Spearfish, South Dakota and relished the opportunity to compete in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. Beauchamp is a great pick up for Black Hills State and should be able to see some early playing time once he arrives on campus.
Beauchamp has had a tremendous high school career as a four-year starter at Monarch. As a junior last season, Beauchamp was an All State and All Conference selection while averaging 17.9 points, 6.8 rebounds, 5.6 assists and 3.2 steals per game for a team that finished 19-6 and was ranked in the top ten for much of the season. Beauchamp’s teams also won a combined 29 games during his freshmen and sophomore seasons. Beauchamp enters his senior season as one of the most highly regarded players in the state and his Coyotes team should be one of the premier teams in the state and have a great shot to make it to the Final Four.
Beauchamp played his club basketball for the Colorado Chaos D1 Ambassadors. Over the course of his career, he helped lead the Colorado Chaos to countless wins and multiple prominent tournament titles. He also finished his club career as a member of the Colorado Chaos 1,000 Point Club and finished eighth on the All Time Colorado Chaos scoring list with 1,557 points.
